Epic moment

The weekend wraps up episode 37 and 38 of My Golden Life. My conclusion for both episodes:
1. Seo appa will bring the Seo family together without intention.
2. Hyuk will unknowingly tell Jisoo about Jianny's hardships.
3. Choi papa will start a major rebellion to Haesung group/Grandpa Noh/prolly even to his wife.
4. Dokyung and Jianny will be even closer together despite Dokyung declaration of "I hate her. I will try hating her". LOLZ.

Now two ships have sailed; Baker-nim × Hee and Hyuk × Jisoo. Shall patiently wait for one or two more ships sailing (as is...)

After 10 years...

I found this blogspot back by chance. I was busy trying to host my image on Soompi and one of a site suggested to link images from blogspot. Then bam!! Here we are again. And I am still a KoreaJapanFreak (although now it is more to Korea Freakyyyy yah)

This is my chance to babble away about my current obsession. Far more a better choice than tweeting away. So, current obsession. Yes, it is My Golden Life (MGL), KBS latest family drama airing on every weekend. The aptly title drama is also receiving golden viewership with the latest episode having 42% viewership, which is hell yeah that is high. I'm hoping that it keep riding high until the last episode (14 more to go) and please no extension please. This is the second long-running drama I faithfully watch after Jumong.

I happen to watch the drama while lounging with my mom on a lazy weekend. I was watching the episode when Jianny found out her mother switched her with Jisoo.. her cries just reached out to me.. and ever since I am faithfully waiting for all the episodes to come out each weekend.

The after effect by Shin Hye Sun (Seo Ji An) acting is very surreal. I liked her a lot in Five Enough (which I watch irregularly only to catch her scenes with Sung Hoon, although I like the leads romance too). Then I realized she's the wheelchair-bound sister in Oh My Ghostess, the airhead-countryside toilet-bully in She Was Pretty, and curator in Legend of the Blue Sea. SHS is very pretty, but she is never ashamed of showing her unpretty side. In Secret Forest, I totally fell in love with her defying and unashamed character. SHS is fierce! And she is fierce again in MGL.

And my thought, how old is this dude? 33 my a**.

That was my initial thought. Suddenly, I'm wagging my tails and love is all around with Park Shi Hoo ( Choi Do Kyung). He just have this aura that makes you want to see him all the time. He is not that handsome, but his smile and abs are nice. It's the way he brought himself, totally model style. From My Golden Life, I have been covering all his previous works and my faves are MGL and Cheongdamdeong Alice (CDDA). I can make one entry just on his acting in CDDA. As for his other works, what I can say is his acting improved in each of his work. He gets better in portraying the character and showing his emotions. Most of his characters are chaebol by the way.. I guess he has this rich guy look? LOL.

So, MGL in a nutshell is a family drama that kicks of with kidnapping, switch "twin" daughters, star-crossed lovers, chaebol family power struggles and the consequences from the kidnapping and switching.

The "twins" are Seo Ji An and Seo Ji Soo (a.k.a Choi Eun Sok). Actually Ji Soo is dead. Papa and Mama Seo found Eun Sok (later named Ji Soo) when visiting Ji Soo's grave. So they brough her back, styled her like Ji Soo and then took her away to Dubai with Ji An. Fast forward to adulthood, Ji An is the hardworking one and always wanting a good (rich) life, while Ji Soo is the happy-go-lucky only caring about bread and her crush (Sunwoo Hyuk).

The kidnappers tried to blackmail Papa and Mama Choi, rich and powerful Haesung Corp familia. Wrong strategy.. since they got milked out about the "twins". Mama Choi went to see Mama Seo and demand to know which one is Eun Sok. Guess who did she say? JIANNA. Great... just great.

Jianny at first is reluctant to go since she loves her family, but after thinking through, she went for the money, and also because Mama Seo keep telling her to go. She went to Haesung, worked hard, adapt her life well, her relationship with the Chois just getting so well then BAM!! She found out the truth is Ji Soo was Eun Sok, not Ji An.

Everything went downhill since then, with Ji Soo retaliating to Jianny, her biologicals parent, her adoptive parent, and latest to her crush Sunwoo Hyuk. Only after episode 30 I can really smile again watching MGL but me thinks episode 37 will bring angts back to me.

I don't even start with the complex romances in this drama, but to simplify:

Ji Soo > Hyuk > Jianny > Dokyung > Jianny

Lately it is kinda confirmed

Ji Soo = Hyuk

Jianny = Dokyung

1st couple obstacle: Ji Soo's insecurities about Hyuk's past feeling for Jianny

2nd couple obstacle: Too many. He was previously her "oppa" turned "namja". But he's Haesung heir, and Haesung is angry with the Seos. Star-crossed lover I tell you again.

So, I just wanna share the good stuff from episode 36. At least, we have these beautiful moments before crap comes next week.

Hyacinth is her favourite flowers and magically DoKyung bought her hyacinths. I oh so love these kinda you-are-my-soulmate romances.

However, my theory is, the drama will fast forward to several years. DoKyung will return to Haesung but his grandpa will acknowledge him and his talents/skill. He will stay single as he loves Jianny, and to spare Jianny from all the curses and hate he will let her go... until he finally named as Haesung successor and CEO. Maybe Jianny will marry somebody else? Hyuk maybe? Ji Soo can marry any other chaebol... LOL. but later years, Hyuk and Jianny divorced, Dokyung Jianny reunited and maybe Ji Soo also can be with Hyuk 😋 People are going to curse my theory hahaha.... okay so I hope I won't take another 10 years to make a new post. We'll see about that.. annyeong!

Waaah it's been nearly two years since I posted in this blog. Please forgive my laziness, it's an incurable disease that I had since I was born ;). My passion for Korean and Japanese entertainment is still fiery as always. My last Korean drama was On Air starring Kim Ha Neul, Lee Beom Soo (stating the popular ones first) followed by Park Yong Ha and Song Yun Ah (the comeback people). It about behind the scenes of the making of dramas. It's about the producers, the directors, the scriptwriters and finally the actors/actresses and the diva-ish attitude. And entertainment company who controls the actor/actresses to their own accord. In the drama Kim Ha Neul is the diva-yet-lonely actress who had a crush on Lee Beom Soo, who was a big shot artists manager who went bankcrupt. And he also rejected Kim Ha Neul when she first started, but has always been keep tabbing on her. Park Yong Ha acts as rookie director who has a big burden (debt) and Song Yun Ah was a down to earth scriptwriter who learnt that being decent won't get her anywhere. She's just as level headed as Kim Ha Neul's character, but she always gives in in the end. The drama has 21 episode and I simply love the ending, although the wrap up for LBS and KHN seems to be rushed.

Personally I don't like Kim Ha Neul, sometimes her facial expression just puts me off. But i don't deny that she is a good actress. It happens that I have a slight prejudice towards her.. Lee Beom Soo, well, I like him, he seems to be really down to earth. He's always appearing as cameos from time to time, he always do comedies, nice guy really. Now we move to my faveys, Park Yong Ha and Song Yun Ah. Ladies first. I fell in love with Song Yun Ah after watching Hotelier. She acted so well it appears to me that she didn't act in the drama, instead SHE is the character itself. She just bring out the character so well. And it is the same in On Air. At first I was skeptical on how people would react to her OTT character as Young Eun, but now I'm happy that she managed to keep being OTT and the people accept her character as she is :) That shows how a good actress she is! Park Yong Ha is my fave cutie in Winter Sonata. I got bored with Bae Yong Jun since everyone was crazy about BYJ. I thought I just take the 2nd lead. Then I watched him in Loving You, and I ended up more and more loving him. His comeback in On Air is very good, he got the charisma as a director, although sometimes his expression is slightly limited. But he is the best when acting cute. I mean, he IS cute. <3333 style="font-style: italic;">human feelings while LF is just a depressing as hell of a drama, complex yet so real. Both dramas are still on air, but both are reaching their finale, like this week or next. Since I only download the hardsubs, I just being patient and wait for them to come out while surfing through the synopsis about latest episodes.

Zettai Kareshi is about Riko who bought Tenjo Nighto, a human robot who is specifically made to be her ideal lover. Complexity arises when the robot seems to actually fall in love with her, but Riko has feeling for her Chief Soshi. And Riko ex-best friend is actually in love with the robot (of course she does not know Nighto is a robot). My take on this drama is - initially boring, honestly, but the drama just grows on you. It's Nighto's fault. It's his robot smile. That what makes me keep downloading the drama although after the 1st episode I was like... duuuhh??! (and I also have this little crush on Mizushima Hiro because his English is sexy). Okaeri by Ayaka as the ending theme is also addicting! And the following episodes are much better, and yes it's getting better now, I'm up to episode 7. Waiting when Chief Soshi gonna confess he likes Riko, and wondering if Riko still like Chief, or is she's unknowingly has fallen in love with Nighto..........

Last Friends have one thing in common with Zettai Kareshi - great themesong - this one is by Utada Hikaru entitled Prisoner of Love. Other than that, Last Friends is about a love so deep, and friendship that hangs around these 5 people above; Eri, Takeru, Ruka, Michiru and Sousuke. Talking about this drama depresses me. BUT it's a hella great drama. Gender disorder/confusion, domestic violence, incest - well it's more to sexual assault by a family member, marriage constitution, happy/bad family/parents - It's all there. The drama shows problematic people does not necessarily comes from bad family/parents (Ruka has great family, but it's is her desire not to be a woman). Female can also assault male, especially when the male is younger.... poor Takeru. Sousuke is the DV guy, but I'm not sure about his past. He's the type who links violence with love. I just don't understand man/woman like this. Man with violence, woman who takes the violence as act of love. Thank God Michiru has so many good friends she managed to get away from Sousuke. I'm only up to episode 7, very very anticipating episode 8, 9, 10, 11...... Eita and Ueno Juri are excellent in their roles. Ueno Juri was so shadowed by her Nodame style, I was surprised by her character in LF. Eita - he gets better and better everytime he appears on screen. Nagasawa Masami is okay, Ryo Nishikido can get stiff at times but when he turns into his DV mode or when he has this evil face I just wanna smack him. Bad guy!!

On movies - last Korean movie watched was Doremipasolrasido - Boooo not worth yer money but if you're Jang Geun Seuk fan please go on :) It was actually from the same creator of Temptation of Wolves and He Was Cool but this one plain s*c*s. The storyline skips a lot, it's like inconsistent. And there goes an accident and amnesia!! I thought filmmakers has forgo this sorta theme??? Nevermind... I also watched 6 years of Love (Kim Ha Neul and Yoon Kye Sang) - This is a good movie. Yeah, the same turbulence of love, ups and down and so forth... but both actor/actress bring it out so well in the movie. The supporting actor/actress also did well (the graphic guy looks a lot like Eric Mun :D) I love Yoon Kye Sang from Flying Boys, and he didn't dissappoint either in this movie. I love ALL his KISS scenes. From Flying Boys and 6 years of Love... Such a great kisser...MMuah!

Finally Haru no Yuki was my last Japanese movie. Movie didn't reach my expectation (I thought the hero was going to die and Yuko Takeuchi will regret through out her life..... just like the Bollywood movie Devdas) but Utada Hikaru's Be My Last is sooooooo wonderful and romantic and full of emotion. Suddenly I remembered Yuko Takeuchi's Be With You <-- this movie rawks :)

Next on my list would the Kimura's new drama Change, Son Ye Jin's Spotlight (but I don't like Ji Jin Hee.......) and Oguri Shun's Kisaragi. Oh yes, Hana Yori Dango the Final too! I don't know what to share here, but I'm thinking about putting up my MU links for Park Shin Yang old movies collection (Promise, The Letter, Motel Cactus) I posted the links in a forum I used to visit, but currently the forum was down temporarily... Thinking about sharing more stuff but I see many bloggers who do this type of filesharing, so I guess I'm gonna tone it down and just share what I happen to collect and what I happen to love/like :) Till then, I hope I'm not going to take 2 years to update again *^_^*

Halooooo…. Yezzaa… I know it’s been some time since I’ve updated the blog. Mian, I’ve been off to my hometown where there’s no computer and internet – TOTAL SOLITUDE J I’ve been needing the rest, so now I’m back recharged! After leaving the town for nearly 1 month, I missed sooo muchos of stuffs: including Dong Bang’s Vacation theatrical debut and their concert in Japan :D Vacation is still not up in any CB, I guess it’s not shown on local TV yet, but good news is the concert is OUT! I’m sorry, I know it’s old already but here’s goes….

TBS produced the Heart, Mind and Soul concert, and they filmed the one on 28/6/2006 at Zepp, Tokyo. The DongBang boys performed all of their songs in HMS album, and also Begin, their not-so-new single, but it was-lah if we’re talking about June 2006. I dunno if this is out on DVD or not, but I think it was out on TBS? Who knows the news pls comment here ^^ Here are some caps from the concert:

By the way I just know that FujiTV did a special on HERO drama this year. FYI Hero is FujiTV's drama in 2001 starring my fave on-screen couple: TAKUYA KIMURA and MATSU TAKAKO [refer my avvy]. They have the greatest chemistry ever. EVER. The screen just fiery when both of them on screen. Love Generation is my all-time fave J-Dorama...it's SSSSSSuperB!! Midoyo.. OK, signing off *^-^*

Hiya all! It seems I only manage to update the blog on weekends nowadays...*blush blush* However this week my goodies is from the Dong Bang Shin Ki 1st Asia Tour in Malaysia!!! Ok, so gonna story about the fabolous concert and my experience. It was held on 14 July 2006 at Putra Indoor Stadium , Bukit Jalil, Selangor. Me and a friend arrived at the stadium at 5 pm. There's already a verrry long line infront of the stadium, for the Arena area [the standing zone, very near to the stage, first come first serve basis] I went to que for my tickets, which I hadnt collected yet... Then go on with the goodies prepared for us. The goodies are a poster, then a paperbag filled with goodies from LGMobile, the sponsor of the concert. Stuffs included mouse pad, sticky note, drink pad, stickers and book marks. After that me and my friend just roaming around the stadium to wait for gate to be opened.

While waiting for the gate, the fans are increasing and reds can be seen almost everywhere. The line for standing zone also stretched to several kilometeres [i think??...]. The crowd also suddenly gets excited and cheering. I tried to look who appeared? Be it SuJu or Dong Bang boys? But didnt see anyone *frust*. Finally at 7.30 pm, the gate finally opened. Me and my friend rushed to our seats, even tho our seats are numbered heh heh.... The stadium starts to fill with people..... and at 8.45 pm, we got interviewed (!!) by a reporter! Finally at 8.50 pm, the lights went out and the music starts!!! People are cheering so LOUD and we can see 5 containers descend from above onto the stage.... IT'S THE DONG BANG BOYS!!!!! Ok, so they kick off with TONIGHT, such a beautiful song, and the concert continues with the songlist sequence I listed in the previous post. The audio for Tonight seems unparallel to the actual song melody, so the boys were singing incoherent to the audio. Jaejoong was really worried, and it shows on his face [the camera happens to focus on his face!]. 2 songs has trouble like this, Tonight and Whatever they say, i think...

SuperJunior made their appearance halfway thru Dong Bang performance. Umm, since I've listened to their songs now, from what i remembered, they performed Twins (Knock out), Miracle, U, Way for love, and 1 slow song which I dunno the title [they sang total of 5 songs, excluding Show me Your Love, from what I remebered]. SuJu are interactive, and their dance sequence IS a real KNOCK OUT. The stage is filled with em yet I didnt see any haywire or mess with all 13 of them dancing. They are really coordinated, so everytime they dance, it's very in-place and neat! They love to tease the fans, and HanGaeng (am I correct???) speaks Chinese cuz he is Chinese. So the fans are screeeaming like crazy when he's on [me not included, I dun understand Chinese nor Korean]. Um, ShiWon speaks Japanese (!!), um, SuJu oso spoke lil bit of Thai, and they say "aku cinta kamu" which made the fans screamed with delight [malay phrase which means I LOVE YOU]. All 13 of them are really nice boys! All 13 looks good, all 13 can dance, can sing, interactive, and Hee Chul is really cute! :D Ok enuff SuJu.

By the way, some ppl mention the concert is owned by SuJu, well, it's basically cuz the boys are interactive. Well, there are 13 boys, and they're not so tired compared to Dong Bang boys.... I guess it's not right to say that, cuz thanks to Dong Bang concert SuJu also can expose themselves here in Malaysia. So I CANT AGREE with those ppl. The concert belongs to Dong Bang boys, definitely. SuJu do spice up the con, making it super HAWT. So, I guess some irresponsible Dong Bang fans who converted to SuJu are just plain... irrational? That's just my opinion by the way. Both SuJu and Dong Bang are great that night....

OK, back to Dong Bang [i love calling em Dong Bang now..hehe, dunno why?] My personal opinion and faves about the concert. The stage is great with set ups and all and the consols are REALLY great!!! Pyro and confettis make the con awesome too!~ Now to their prerformance. They sang all ballads live and all dance songs lipsynch. The best perf for me that night is Tri-angle, it's really power-pack! Rising Sun comes in second [i love this song so much, I was biased at first... so now i think tri-angle was better!]. While for the ballad, I choose....My little princess? maybe? cuz all are soooo good, cant make my mind :) On the boys' perf: Jaejoong: He's a beautiful guy! And his voice, OMG, it's really perfect. I never found him out of tune, out of breath.... His voice range is incredible [second to Changmin] And he has a really good body! :D. Yunho: The DANCE KING! He's in par with Woo Hyuk, Min Woo to name a few.... When he spazzes his body during Rising Sun, I nearly spaz myself! He's DANG SEKUSHI!!!!!! I cant believe he's only 20!!! He appears to be a good leader, always taking lead during MC and interact with the fans. Hmm, since all dance song they lipsync, I cant get to hear him rap, so that's a loss... but girls, honestly, this boy is REALLY DEUGO! Yoochun: No wonder all Korea girls love him the most. He's like smiling ALL THE TIME. Such a dearie! He sported this fuzzy curly hair, and yet it looked really good on him! His voice sounded the same like in albums and live performances. He also love to do cute things on the stage, loves to interact with the fans by body language [smiling, waving etcs...]. He surely love his fans, he shows it. And thank God for Micky can speak English, at least we all know how Dong Bang feels for the con *smiles..*

Junsu my LOVE: God has given the sexy voice to him, and he uses it really well. He's nearly in par with HyeSung, who I think has the sexiest voice on Earth. and Taebin. Everytime he sings, he pours all of his heart into it, making the song soooo lovely! I cant describe any other word for him except for his sexy voice. And he never runs out of breath! Cool dude! Dance wise, he's good too, all perfect, but just not agile as Yunho. Aaahh, Junsu, noona sarange yo! :) Final Changmin: He's like Junsu, sorta shy on stage except when belting out songs :) Superb voice range, he can shout really high, but sometimes his voice broke hehe.... similar like in their live performances. Really tall kid, and somehow the cameraman at the concert just love him haha, next to Micky. Both of them are always plastered on the big screen. And he loves to do this movement with his hand when he's really feeling the song, y'know, like those R&B singer, like Usher... There's no doubt about Changmin's voice, in terms of killer and beautiful voice, Changmin and Jaejoong own it. My Junsu has the sekushi voice, Micky has this unique voice that's really cowa to listen too and Yunho - the masta of dance and rap!

Finally when the concert wraps up with Dong Bang and SuJu perf of Show me your love, what I can say is the concert was a TOTAL BLAST! DBSK is definitely a VERY TALENTED bunch of boys and Lee Soo Man should be thankful for that. And they deserve to be no 1 boyband in Korea now [Shinhwa can become no 1 manband! :)] SuJu can go further, I bet LSM got some ideas for them later... um, altho on singing part, some of the SuJu boys are only so-so... but they do have the star-presence! My conclusion: I WANT THEM TO COME AGAIN & PERFORM!! Worth every cent and sweat from standing under the sun! By the way i even manage to steal the concert banner, and it's hanging on my room's door now *blissssss*!!

Ok, my blabbing is waaay too long now, so I guess I hafta stop!~ My only complain abt the con is there's no solo perf of Dong Bang boys,unlike the Korea con... but since SuJu's also here nvm then... Thanks Kpopkingdom, LG Mobile, SM Ent for bringing Dong Bang to Malaysia's shore... hope to see more kpopsters here!! Btw, here I'm sharing a low quality of their My Little Princess which I recorded, it's the best I got....CLICK MY LITTLE PRINCESS File is in .avi format. Another one is 3 short clips of Magic Castle in .mov format [use Quicktime player!] I've compiled it into .rar so use Winrar to unzip. As promised, I uploaded the [ONE] Summercon DVD from Arashic album! Yay! The songs listed in the DVD are Yes?No? [my fave!!], Sakura sake, La Tormenta 2004 [the most stylish way to introduce yerselves :D], A.RA.SHI, and Subarashii sekai. WOWEEE!! All the songs listed are gooooood!!!!! The files are ripped into .mpg, so the quality is so-so only [sorry guys, I dunno what better rippers available, and my comp just wont rip it into .avi...any suggestion?]I ripped it into 5 individual perfs, but compressed it into .rar so plz use Winrar to unzip it. I also got comments about my ARASHIC album that I've uploaded. SO I'm uploading a new one by tomorrow, and you can click the old link or the new link which will be provided here. I think the problem that makes the songs unplayable is that the characters used to describe the songs. Since my comp supports Chineses character, it automatically writes the song title in Kanji. And some comp cant display that, thus making it unplayable. Maybe my assumption is wrong :) But I'll still upload a new one :D. OK here 's the new link: CLICK HERE!. By the way, I went to the Dong Bang Shin Ki concert, 1st Asia Tour, Live in Malaysia.......IT WAS FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!! OMG, just Awesome man!!! If they ever coming again, I'm definitely buying the standing ticket. SO I can touch em hahaha! DBSK are the bomb! And mind you, their dancing are even better LIVE!! Yunho is FABULOUS!!! I nearly fainted seeing him perf in RISING SUN, y'all know, the climatic last part when he spazz his body!!! HOTNESS!!He's definitely one of the best dancers in Korea, together with the likes of Woo Hyuk and Min Woo, to name a few... Junsu has the bestest voice AWWWWW so sexy!!! Jaejoong oso has the beautifullest voice [mind my english ;)] WOW he can do falsetto so well. Reach highest pitch but never break his voice... Micky... HE IS SUCH A DEAR!! I dun think he never smile throughout the con. He's like smiling all the time!!!! Such a dearie... Changmin is soo tall and sooo cute. Typical Changmin, his voice always broke hehe.... But perf-wise, DBSK is GREAT!!!! I wanna see them mooooooreee!!!!!
